NexTransit Interconnect Proxy
NexTransitTM is a versatile signaling proxy which enables interconnection among different H.323 devices. NexTransit also performs masking of IP addresses so source and destination networks can remain anonymous. NexTransit can signal directly between H.323 gateways and gatekeepers. NexTransit relies on the NexSRS server for all routing policies and CDR collection.
NexTransit supports a wide variety of call scenarios and configurations. Below is an example of how NexTransit with look ahead routing can increase network efficiency and security.
Routing
- Calling party originates phone call.
- Source network sends routing request to NexSRS server.
- NexSRS server authenticates source network and returns one or more possible routes, each with a digitally signed access LookAhead tokenTM.
- H.323 call set-up message from source to NexTransit includes access token with LookAhead routing.
- NexTransit validates the digital signature of the access token and accepts call.
- NexTransit extracts the IP address of the final destination from the LookAhead token and sends a call setup to the destination network.
- The destination device validates the digital signature of the access token.
- The call is completed to the called party.

- CDR collected from source network.
- CDR collected from NexTransit.
- CDR collected from destination network.
