TransNexus Releases Monitoring and Reporting Software for Acme Packet Session Border Controllers

(Atlanta, GA - March 21, 2011) - TransNexus has released version 2.0 of its SDReporter software for Acme Packet Session Border Controllers (SBCs).  SDReporter is a comprehensive reporting package designed to use the rich set of Quality of Service (QoS) statistics reported by Acme Packet SBCs.  The reporting software provides deep and broad visibility into VoIP network performance.

“We heard loud and clear, from both carrier and enterprise customers, the need for an easy to understand solution to monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and generate alarms if Quality of Service for any peering connection falls below its SLA,” says Jim Dalton, CEO of TransNexus.  Dalton adds “Acme Packet SBCs provide a wealth of QoS statistics.  Other SBCs do not provide enough QoS statistics to accurately monitor SLAs and require an additional deep packet inspection tool.  Since SDReporter is an order of magnitude less expensive than deep packet inspection tools, the combined Acme Packet – SDReporter solution is the best deal on the market for monitoring VoIP peering SLAs”.

One of the key benefits of SDReporter is the interpretation and presentation of QoS data that makes it easy for unskilled operators to visually detect and troubleshoot service problems.  Color coded reports pinpoint problems by customer, provider, dial code and time of day.  More importantly, SDReporter identifies QoS issues by IP link so operators can quickly isolate problems to either the ingress or egress network and separately assess the impacts on the calling or called party.  Also, the drill down capability of SDReporter enables users to quickly expand summary reports down to individual devices and Call Detail Records.

SDReporter was first released to customers in Asia Pacific with initial deployments in Thailand, Sri Lanka and Indonesia.  It is now generally available to customers in North America.
